Booze I've Tried
Dinner beer: Hopworks Urban Brewery’s Rise-up Red Ale (5.8AbV)
Pours a slightly hazy ruby red with a finger and a half of creamy head. No bubbles visible, moderate lacing down the sides of the glass.
Aroma is a sassy blend of hops and barley
Initial sip is a punchy blast of hops with some notable fruityness. Not IPA hoppy, but they’re in there. I’d say this beer is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. After a couple sips I’m noticing some warm coppery flavour and some toasted barley notes. Some sweetness and some breadyness. Finish is fairly dry with more hoppy goodness. Moderate hangtime. Tasty.
